Although Tropical Storm Barry did not make landfall in our region, the City of Port Arthur's Emergency Management Team encourages all citizens to follow our official website and social media platforms to gain the necessary information with regard to emergency situations. Citizens should sign up with STAN (Southeast Texas Alerting Network) to stay attuned to proper information during any emergency event. TXDOT contractors have hit a water main feeding Sabine Pass. The community is mostly without water. City Water crews have been working through the night to restore water service; no estimated time of repair is known as of this update. City officials will send updated information as it becomes available.
