URGENT HEALTH NOTICE
PLEASE NOTE: The Port Arthur COVID Vaccine HUB is Not a Walk-up/Drive-Thru Clinic for anyone in Phase 1A, or 1B of the CDC and local guidelines regarding giving, or receiving, the COVID Vaccine. Please read the points from the Port Arthur Health Department below:
The Port Arthur Health Director has announced that a mass vaccination clinic will begin in Port Arthur at the Bob Bowers Civic Center, beginning Tuesday, February 9, 2021. Any citizen who has registered and received an appointment will be administered a vaccine at the appointed time. All persons must register online, in order to receive an appointment. Once you have registered, you will be contacted when your appointment time has been set.
Some important reminders:
- DO NOT show up to the vaccination site until you have received a confirmed appointment time from the Public Health Department. No one will be served without an appointment.
- Anyone who previously left their name on the waitlists needs to be sure that their registration is completed on the following website: COVID Vaccine Registration
- You can register at this time, but scheduling will be done at a later time, once vaccinations are available.
If you are unable to access the website, call centers have been established at (409) 550-2536 for further assistance. This notification covers citizens in Hardin, Jefferson, Jasper, Newton, and Orange counties. Call center assistance will be available Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Also, please note:
When registering for the COVID vaccine on the website created by the County, you have the option to select the location where you want to take your vaccine. The City of Port Arthur Health Department is receiving vaccines as others in the County, and have been administering vaccines to citizens from the online registration created first by Port Arthur. Once these individuals are vaccinated, the health department will begin calling people from the list created by Jefferson County.
