The Port Arthur Health Department is encouraging everyone to get a vaccine against COVID-19 to protect themselves and their family members at home, school, work, and play. When testing positive, please protect yourself and others. Positive cases have ranged from 20 to 57 for the last several weeks, which indicates that we are spreading the disease, some without knowing.

From August 20, 2021, the City of Port Arthur Health Department is reporting COVID-19 positive individuals for Port Arthur, Groves, Nederland, and Port Neches. There are confirmations of Nineteen (19) for Port Arthur; Five (5) for Groves; Thirteen (13) for Nederland and Six (6) for Port Neches. The total number of positive COVID-19 cases reported is Forty-three (43).
