THE PORT ARTHUR HEALTH DEPARTMENT REPORTS COVID-19 RELATED DEATHS FOR PORT ARTHUR AND GROVES

It is with great sadness that the City of Port Arthur Health Department is reporting COVID-19 related deaths in residents of and Groves and Port Arthur. The Groves resident was a Black Female between the age range of 45-50.
The Port Arthur residents included a Black Female between the age range 70-75, a Hispanic Female between the age range of 45-50, a Black Male between the age range of 80-85, and two White Males between the age range of 75-85. It has not been determined that these individuals had underlying health conditions.
The Health Department has reported Eighty-Two (82) COVID-19 related deaths for Port Arthur and Twenty-One (21) COVID-19 related deaths for Groves since the beginning of the pandemic.
We emphasize again that COVID-19 is still a very serious disease. The Port Arthur Health Department is encouraging everyone to please continue to be vigilant and get a vaccine against COVID-19 to protect themselves and their family members at home, school, work, and play, when eligible. When testing positive, please protect yourself and others--wear a face covering and do not go out into the public while infected.
