Monday will be the only day for regular pickup of residential garbage. Pull in your toter as soon as garbage is emptied. Officials will notify the public about garbage collection for the rest of the week. Please do not put toters out on Tuesday until the notice is sent out. Thank you.
Secure all outdoor furniture, equipment, and items that may float off in the heavy rainfall. Please untie outside dogs from trees, or poles, too.
Six (6) sandbags per address can be picked up at the Port Arthur Bob Bowers Civic Center, 3501Cultural Center Drive, for Port Arthur residents until the supply runs out. Please bring your ID and your own shovels. If you bring your own sandbags, the limit will still be six (6) sandbags.
Be sure to clear the ditches in front of your home of debris and built-up leaves to avoid flooding; there will be a lot of rain, some sure to cause flooding in homes and businesses.
