PM Construction Company is 100% complete with the work on Jade Avenue, which covered Phase I of the Port Acres repair project. The manholes were placed and about 2600 linear feet of pipe was burst. Phase II of this planned project is already underway! City Water Utility crews have begun the sewer and water line/manhole repairs on West Port Arthur Road. Please be aware that the traffic may occasionally be down to two lanes lane with barriers to re-direct traffic.  After the repairs are completed, TxDOT has certified and approved Brystar Contracting to resurface the road according to state specifications. School officials with the Port Arthur Independent School District will continue to work with buses and parents picking up their children from Port Acres Elementary School to help re-route transport, if that becomes necessary.
