City Water crews have completed a  Phase II Project which encompassed manhole and wastewater line repairs for West Port Arthur Road. City Water Utility crews finished the sewer and wastewater line/manhole repairs on West Port Arthur Road. Please be aware that travel may still occasionally be down to two lanes, with barriers to re-direct traffic.  Now that the repairs are completed, TxDOT has certified and approved Brystar Contracting to resurface the road according to state specifications. School officials with the Port Arthur Independent School District will continue to work with buses and parents picking up their children from Port Acres Elementary School to help re-route transport, if that becomes necessary.
