The Port Arthur Health Department reports lab results from several medical entities. The large case numbers are not all active COVID cases; the remaining positive cases shown in the chart include previous positive lab reports that were received the day of the report from health agencies. The total number of New COVID-19 positive cases reported is twenty-one.

The Port Arthur Health Department is encouraging everyone to get a vaccine against COVID-19 to protect themselves and their family members at home, school, work, and play. When testing positive, please protect yourself, your family, and others.

NOTE: Antibody therapies are... available to certain high-risk patients and require a drug order (similar to a prescription) from a healthcare provider.

Who Qualifies for Monoclonal Antibody Therapy?

Monoclonal antibody therapy is available for children, aged 12 years or older that weigh at least 88 lbs (40 kg), and adults who:

  1. Have tested positive for COVID-19, and
  2. Have mild to moderate symptoms of the disease for 10 days or less, and 
  3. Are at high risk of becoming seriously ill.
