July 4 2022-City Holiday

Message from the Fire Marshal

Port Arthur Fire Department

The July 4th holiday is quickly approaching. Many citizens will be making celebration plans that may include the use of fireworks. The Port Arthur Fire Department would like to remind everyone that the use of fireworks within City boundaries is prohibited by City ordinance and may result in a citation which can carry a fine of $50 to $2000. Be aware that most incorporated cities in the area have similar ordinances in place.

If you are going to use fireworks outside of the City’s boundaries, please do so in a responsible manner. Keep an eye out on our Facebook page       https://www.facebook.com/portarthurfd/ for fireworks safety tips if you plan to use fireworks outside of the City’s boundaries. For more information on fireworks regulations, contact the Port Arthur Fire Marshal’s Office at fireprevention@portarthurtx.gov or 409-983-8737.

For those wishing to safely enjoy fireworks, the City of Port Arthur is sponsoring fireworks display on July 4th at 9:15PM. The fireworks can be viewed from the area of Lamar State College Port Arthur.
