Hurry! Port Arthur LNG Environmental Champions Grant Initiative … encourages any eligible non-profit or service club to apply before the Wednesday, March 22 deadline in order to be considered for grant dollars!
This year we [Port Arthur LNG] will award $60,000 in grants to nonprofit 501c3 or 501c4 service club organizations with environmental projects, programs, or efforts that benefit the Port Arthur, Sabine Pass and immediate neighboring communities in Jefferson County. We are excited to continue our partnership with Port Arthur News on this effort, and grant awards will range from $1,000 - $5,000 per organization. The application will close on March 22, 2023. You can find the application here: Port Arthur LNG Environmental Champions Grant Application.
All grant applications will be reviewed by an independent community selection panel that is being assembled by the team at the Port Arthur News. Organizations should apply that have opportunities in the following areas:
- Community & neighborhood beautification (community clean-ups, tree/flower planting, community recycling, waste reduction/litter removing)
- Local habitat restoration
- Environmental & sustainability education programs & field trips for students K-12
We are excited to see all the new environmental stewardship opportunities this year – programs that will help make our communities a better place to work, live and play.
