The City of Port Arthur will administer an Entry-Level Civil Service Examination for the position of Police Officer on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 9:00 A.M.  Applicants may print and submit the application, to the Human Resources Office, Civil Service Division, at the City Hall Building, 444 4th Street, Suite 103. The deadline for application is Friday, June 9, 2023, at 5:00 PM.

NOTE:  Study Guides will be made available upon receipt of completed applications. Port Arthur residents, ONLY, must also print and submit the appropriate Affidavit(s) of Residency forms. (Eligible applicants must pass the exam with a 70%, or higher, score in order to receive the additional points).

All persons are to bring PHOTOGRAPHIC identification (Driver’s License, Student I.D., etc.) with them to the testing site.  Please report to the examination site at least 30 minutes prior to test time.
