The Port Arthur Public Library has partnered with the Port Arthur Independent School District to encourage parents to get every child carded with a Free Library Card as part of the Parks and Recreation Summer Recreation Program! In addition, the summer program at the library will include a production of Jack and the Beanstalk, performed by Young Audiences of Houston Arts and The Ensemble Theatre, with a showing at the Port Arthur Bob Bowers Civic Center on June 21, 2023 at 10:30 AM.

Parents may follow the summer reading schedule due dates to honor their children at a ceremony at the library at the end of the program! Sign up at the Summer Recreation school as shown below or call the library to sign up.
