[ARCHIVED] The Port Arthur Police Department is conducting the Selective Traffic Enforcement Program, S.T.E.P.

The S.T.E.P. grant will focus on speed violations, impaired drivers and seatbelt violators, including those that do not properly restrain children in safety seats. These issues are three major causes of fatality accidents.
The S.T.E.P. Enforcement will continue until November 28, 2017 and hopefully will cause drivers to think safety and not become a statistic.
