Port Arthur, Time Is Running Out. Let’s Do This!

We need your help to remind your friends, family members, co-workers, and neighbors to respond to the 2020 Census. Time is running out! Everyone who lived in the United States on April 1, 2020, is required to be counted—whether or not they are a U.S. citizen.

The time to act is now, at 2020census.gov!

Where there are more people, there are more needs—for schools, roads, and services for families, older adults, and children. Communities will miss out on funding for critical public services for the next 10 years unless everyone is counted. Every response matters!

The Port Arthur Complete Count Committee is determined to assist Port Arthurans in completing the 2020 Census as soon as possible. Callers will begin reaching out to help our citizens complete the Census to make sure we receive much-needed government funds.

This year, with over $670 BILLION Dollars to cities all across the U.S. and territories, Port Arthur, Texas needs our portion of this cash, and the amount of people we report for our city will determine how much of that money we receive for things like:

1. Housing

2. Health Services, including WIC, Immunizations, Diabetes and Breastfeeding Programs

3. Public Services, like streets and drainage, parks and open spaces; infrastructure

4. Education: K-12, and Higher Ed; Co-enrollment; free lunch programs

5. Representation in the House

6. Public Transportation

7. And much more... Things we need!

The PACCC asks that you take 10 minutes, to answer 10 questions, to fund Port Arthur for the next 10 years. You can respond on your own; it’s not too late to complete your 2020 Census. RESPOND online here. How to Respond by Phone How to Respond by Mail, or call the number at the bottom of the flyer. Census Workers and Volunteers will assist you! Count every human heartbeat in your home on April 1-- be that an uncle, friend, sister, grandchild-- Let’s count everyone! Remember, Port Arthur Census 2020: All In! One City! One Count!
