[ARCHIVED] Public Health Update: Port Arthur Health Department Reports COVID-19 Cases- Port Arthur, Mid County

Please read the following report from the Port Arthur and Jefferson County Health Departments regarding the reports of positive COVID-19 cases in Port Arthur and Mid County, Texas, as of November 19, 2020. The City of Port Arthur and Jefferson County Health Departments are reporting an uptick in the positive cases for the City of Port Arthur and Mid County cities as submitted for the past week. 

Due to the increase in the number of positive cases, 7 counties and 2 cities met on the steps of the Jefferson County Courthouse to inform all citizens of the dangers and spread of this harmful COVID-19 disease. Read the summary below. 

NOTICE FROM THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR HEALTH DEPARTMENT

Today, November 19, 2020, the City of Port Arthur and Jefferson County Health Departments are reporting additional COVID-19 positive individuals for Port Arthur, Groves, Port Neches and Nederland.  There are confirmations of fourteen (14) for Port Arthur; two (2) for Groves; nine (9) for  Nederland; and one (1) for Port Neches.
